Back to School Events:

We will have many back to school events to help welcome our students and families to Ella Baker.  Please continue to check back for the most current dates and times of our events.  Here are a few you can mark on your calendar!

August 30th:   Meet and Greet 1:00-2:00 PM

The morning of August 30th, families and students will receive an email directly from their teacher.  Families and students are then invited to come in to meet their teacher, see their classroom, and meet their peers.  We will also have an all-school scavenger hunt to allow families to get to know our new building.

August 30th: Kindergarten Orientation 6:00-7:00 PM

Kindergarten parents/guardians are invited to come and receive an overview of the Kindergarten program.  Information essential to the first day of school will be presented at this time.  We will also have a question/answer period.  Parents will also sign-up for a 20 minute Family Connection meeting which will occur between September 4th-6th.

September 4th: First Day of School for 1st-5th Grade

After our bells ring and students are settled in, we invite families to join us for a "Boohoo! Wahoo!" gathering.  Families will have an opportunity to meet other families, our PTSA, and our administrators.

September 4th-6th: Family Connections Meetings (Kindergarten only).

Kindergarten students to not attend school on September 4th-6th.  Instead, each family will have an opportunity to meet with their child's Kindergarten teacher.  These meetings are a wonderful opportunity for families to share information and get to know the teacher.  Sign-ups for these meetings will occur at Kindergarten Orientation.

September 7th: First Day of School for Kindergarteners

After our bells ring and students are settled in, we invite families to join us for a "Boohoo!  Wahoo!" gathering.  Families will have an opportunity to meet other families, our PTSA, and our administrators.

September 20th:  Curriculum Night at 6:00 PM

This will be an opportunity for parents/guardians to learn about the school year, our staff, and how we will work together to help students succeed.
